Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to leverage the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide routine analytical testing to support early phase and late phase small molecule drug development using HPLC, GC, particle size, KF, dissolution
  • Perform lab equipment/instrument maintenance.
  • Execute and analyze studies to qualify test methods, demonstrate technological feasibility and characterize material and assembled device products, employing multiple analytical methods (e.g. HPLC/GC, FTIR, DSC, TGA, mechanical tests for hardness, viscosity, and material stress/strain characteristics)
  • Execute test methods in support of device Process Development and Quality activities
  • Report on project progress, provide data for reports
  • Perform sufficient statistical analysis on acquired data.
  • Maintain analytical lab instrumentation, manage lab reagents, ensure appropriate calibration is carried out.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of analytical data generated.
  • Maintain excellent written documentation (e.g. lab notebook and test forms).
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and trend assay performance

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or other relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 - 2 years industry experience).

In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Preferred Experience:

  • Proven experience with analytical methodology.
  • Experience with sample management or ELN/LIMS systems in the GMP environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Hands-on experience with the following methods: LC/GC, FTIR, TGA, DSC, porosity, and mechanical material characterization (e.g. hardness, viscosity, stress/strain curves).
  • Ability to verbal or written instructions for acquisition and analysis of analytical data.

Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to work in a collaborative environment
