You'd be a part of our amazing Gene Editing team while also working cross functionally with other teams! 

How you’ll spend your time:

Develop and optimize protocols for T-cell gene editing, including megaTAL delivery methods, culture conditions, scale up, and multiplexing. Characterize genetically modified primary T-lymphocytes using standard immunological assays including flow cytometry. Develop and perform immune cell activation, cytotoxicity, and other cellular and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) – based assays to evaluate gene editing approaches that improve the efficacy of CAR and TCR-based T-cell therapeutics in vitro and in vivo. Maintain an electronic lab notebook and contribute to support documentation when necessary. Contribute to experimental design and project direction. Provide critical lab support while working in a collaborative team environment. Review, organize, and report/present research data to functional team. Manage daily workflow independently and seek advice when appropriate.  

Who you are and what you’ve accomplished:

Requires a Master’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, Immunology, or a related field plus two (2) years of experience in immunology. Experience may be gained concurrently and must include:

 Two (2) years in each of the following:

- Applying primary human immune cell isolation techniques and mammalian cell culture, including cell culture of primary human T-lymphocytes

- Working on in vitro immunology studies and functional T-cell assay development using techniques including multi-color flow cytometry, Luminex, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and cytotoxicity assays

- Applying knowledge and understanding of immunology and cancer biology

- Excel, PowerPoint, GraphPad Prism, FlowJo, and DNA software tools such as Geneious or similar tools

- Applying knowledge of T-cell biology

Will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of described experience.
