Job Description

Why Join Intellia?

Our mission is to develop curative genome editing treatments that can positively transform the lives of people living with severe and life-threatening diseases.

Beyond our science, we live our four core values: One, Explore, Disrupt, Deliver and feel strongly that you can achieve more at Intellia. We have a single-minded determination to excel and succeed together. We believe in the power of curiosity and pushing boundaries. We welcome challenging thoughts and imagination to develop innovative solutions. And we know that patients are counting on us to make the promise a reality, so we must maintain high standards and get it done.

We want all of our people to go beyond what is possible. We aren't constrained by typical end rails, and we aren't out to just "treat" people. We're all in this for something more. We're driven to cure and motivated for change. Just imagine the possibilities of what we can do together.

How You Will Achieve More With Intellia:

Generate off-target in vitro data to support non-clinical studies for IND or CTA packages. Execute NGS library preparation workflows both manually and using liquid handling automation and load completed libraries on Illumina sequencing platforms. Able to simultaneously perform NGS library preparation assays like Amplicon-seq, SITE-seq, rhAMP-seq tagmentation and LR-PCR assays and understand and review data to plot in graphing software like GraphPad. Communicate with other groups to receive treated and untreated cells for DNA and RNA extraction prior to library preparation. Design, conduct and troubleshoot the experiments that will support the regulatory filings and if additional assay development work is needed. Collaborate with multiple groups and execute on multiple workflows simultaneously while documenting through LIMS, ELN and batch records.

About You:

Requires a Master's degree in Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a directly related field plus two (2) years of biotech or industry experience. Experience must include:

One (1) year of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • NGS library preparation assays, including Amplicon-seq or SITE-seq.
  • Writing documentation such as SOPs or technical reports and summarizing data findings

Six (6) months of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Working with molecular biology techniques, including DNA purification, shearing, adapter ligation, PCR, and library quantification with Qubit, nanodrop or Tapestation
  • DNA and RNA extraction techniques with bead and gravitational based methods

Will accept a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a directly related field plus five (5) years of biotech or industry experience.
