Associate Software Developer

.NET Core | C# | VueJS | ExtJS | SQL Server | AWS

On our team, you'll be working on the cutting edge, client-facing Analytics applications. The tools we build sit at the center of the Institutional Investing marketplace, and your work enables consultants and investors to confidently make business decisions worth billions of dollars. You'll be working as a full-stack engineer with cutting-edge tools and frameworks like Vue.js, Ext.js, .Net Core, MS SQL Server, AWS, and Terraform, in an Agile Scrum process on a team of 4-5 rock star developers.

Your role and responsibilities

As an Associate Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions through new and existing applications. Besides working closely with your team of 4-5 developers, you will also work with other development teams at eVestment.

• Implement, test, and maintain rich web application software, with guidance from more senior members.
• Participate in code reviews, task estimation, and design discussions.
• Deploy and monitor the AWS infrastructure for new and existing microservices.
• Implement solutions across a variety of front-end (VueJS, ExtJS, ASP.NET MVC), back-end (.NET Core, .NET Framework), and data-layer (MS SQL Server, Aurora Serverless PostgreSQL, Amazon DynamoDB, Elasticsearch) technologies and frameworks.

We expect you to have

• A degree qualified in a discipline related to Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience, through work or school, in one or more server-side programming languages, such as C#, Java, or similar.
• Experience, through work or school, in one or more modern front-end Javascript frameworks, such as Vue, Angular, React, or similar.
• Experience, through work or school, using relational database engines, such as SQL Server, MySql, PostgreSQL, or similar.
• An appetite for trying new things, asking questions, and learning.

It would be great if you have

• Experience or knowledge of common software development tools and technologies, such as version control, Visual Studio, etc.
• Experience or knowledge of cloud technologies, such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience or knowledge of no-SQL data stores, such as Amazon DynamoDB or Elasticsearch.
• Experience or knowledge of microservices design & development.
