Summary of the role:

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will join a team of talented, creative and passionate Engineers, working in an Agile environment (Scrum / SAFe). You will build and support our next generation Hospitality platform by delivering high-quality software. You will be working within defined processes and procedures/methodologies. You will be able to provide your input and participate in the day-to-day decisions so together, you and your team can build solutions that address complex problems. You will receive guidance, direction and instructions from more senior level roles and/or manager, with regular monitoring on the status of the assignments, helping you progress in your Engineering career.

In this role you'll:

  • Define user requirements for the development of new (or upgrade of existing) software solutions.
  • Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.
  • Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation.
  • Develop software according to Amadeus standards.
  • Model, design and implement databases.
  • Conduct unit, package and performance tests and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.
  • Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine-tuning when necessary to finalize the product.
  • Support the customer by debugging/analyzing existing solutions in collaboration with Product Manager or Product Definition Analyst
  • Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments.

About the ideal candidate:

The ideal candidate will be familiar with the software development lifecycle including the planning, design, development and implementation, deployment, and maintenance stages. The position also requires an in-depth knowledge of different programming languages, frameworks, and tools.

Education: Bachelors or higher. Master's degree preferred.

Relevant work experience:

  • 3+ years developing various software systems and applications.
  • 2+ years' experience working with Azure or other cloud technologies is preferred.
  • Understanding the hospitality transactional patterns for clear and concise capacity management.

Skills:

  • Language Skills: C#, SQL, .Net6, Angular
  • Specific Knowledge: Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus
