As an Associate Software Engineer at Flexera, you will leverage basic experience to develop, and optimize real-world software solutions, ranging from classic on-premise software to microservices running in complex cloud architectures. You will adopt and implement best practices in C# .NET development, database development, and messaging technologies like NATS. Your contribution will help maintain the quality of our products and ensure the success of our innovative software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain existing code (C# .NET, T-SQL) for our on-premise and cloud solutions to address issues reported by customers or internally
• Implement features on a classic codebase to extend the functionality of our on-premise solutions using C# .NET.
• Implement features on a scalable and high-performance microservices architecture using C# .NET, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
• Implement features that rely on messaging solutions using NATS to facilitate smooth communication between microservices.
• Implement RESTful and Asynchronous APIs.
• Implement unit testing for existing and new code.
• Work closely with the rest of the team.

• Experience:
  • basic software development experience, with a focus on C# .NET.
  • basic database development experience with T-SQL and similar technologies.
• Technical Skills:
  • Moderate expertise in C# .NET and in T-SQL.
  • Understanding the principles of messaging technologies such as NATS.
  • Understanding the principles of RESTful and Asynchronous APIs.
  • Familiarity with Integrated Development Environments, Git/GitHub, CICD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of our classical and cloud solutions, their purpose, userbase, and structure.
• Understanding of MongoDB or other NoSQL databases for database management and integration.

Education

• Degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus. Equivalent substantial related experience in software engineering will also be considered.
