Description

UKG is looking for a passionate full-stack Java engineer with web application experience to join our team. The Java Engineer will have extensive experience with Java and React programming languages and be able to work with both front-end technologies as well as implement server-side logic.• Has an basic understanding of programming and testing concepts, design patterns, and best practices, and can translate that understanding directly to implementations• Has a understanding and stays on the forefront of all development languages and frameworks utilized by our applications (Java, React, JavaScript, SQL, CSS etc.)• Demonstrates a n understanding of design patterns and common algorithms and exercises them in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions• Quickly and efficiently find robust and effective solutions to difficult development problems• Communicates with other departments to effectively gather information required to perform duties• Write Unit Tests and API Integration Tests for new custom features in the product• We are looking for candidates local to Branchburg, NJ and available to work in the office 3 days/week

Qualifications

Basic qualifications:• Solid Java skills• Basic experience with React and front end technologies• Experience with SQL Server and SQL Queries• Test-driven development experience• More than 1 year of hands-on development experience with full stack java-based web development: Java, SQL, React, HTML, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, application servers and web servers

Preferred qualifications:• Familiar with Agile development methodologies• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
