Associate Software Engineer, Backend

As an Associate Back-end Software Engineer, you will play a significant role building customer-facing web applications and software products. You will work closely with a cross functional team of front-end and back-end engineers, designers, SEO analysts, writers, product managers and business leaders to build the next iteration of market leading branded websites. 

 What You'll Do 

• Work with back-end engineers using a team-based agile approach.
• Modify, implement, and test software to support our product suite.
• Use critical thinking to identify bug fixes and propose solutions to the team.
• Develop, support, and maintain new product
• Own small sized portions of the system as the subject matter expert for implementation within the team.
• Follow, and contribute to, continual process improvement of team best practice and workflows.
• Work with cloud-based technologies and infrastructure as code.

• 2-3 years of professional experience on a team:
  • Using modern back-end technologies such as Golang, C#, Python, js, Ruby, or PHP.
  • Designing, building, and consuming REST APIs.
  • Working with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Using databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.
  • Implementing data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
  • Basic understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, functional programming concepts, and software architecture.
  • Knowledge of integrating with services like ECS, API Gateway, CloudFront, S3, SNS and SQS.
  • Understanding of various tools including Postman, Docker, CircleCI, or GitHub
