About this role

BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. seeks Associate, Software Engineer, Trading Systems in New York, NY to contribute to the development of Aladdin's global, multi-asset trading platform. Req's: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: working with programming languages including Java and Scala; utilizing Agile development methodologies; building Trade Ingestion and regulatory systems; utilizing message-oriented middleware architecture; building UI components using GWT and web technologies; working with relational databases (RDBMS) or NoSQL databases; using SQL and column or row-oriented data formats, including Apache Parquet and Apache Avro; working with REST endpoints or SOAP webservices architecture, including testing tools including PostMan and curl; and using Scala Test and test and integration frameworks, including Cucumber. For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $128,000 - $145,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
