What You'll Do

The Associate Production, DevOps, and Python development, executes the development of resilient solutions; work with developers, architects and product owners to execute the strategy of transforming the enterprise into a data-driven organization; follow innovative strategic thinking in building data solutions. This software must achieve a blend of reliability, data-rich presentation, performance, user experience, and the capacity to support the busiest trading days in the world economy with rock-solid reliability. The candidate must be able to solve problems creatively, communicate effectively, and proactively engage in technical decision making to achieve these objectives. This individual will be a team player and work well with business, technical and non-technical professionals in an agile environment

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.

  • Actively executes requirement analysis and reviews
  • Follows design of highly performing, scalable, secure, reliable and cost optimized solutions
  • Application design and development of application for business requirements in an Agile environment
  • Analyzes requirements, develops, tests, and documents software quality to ensure proper implementation
  • Follows agreed upon SDLC procedures to ensure that all information system products and services meet: quality standards, end-user functional requirements, architectural standards, performance requirements, audit requirements, security rules are upheld, and external facing reporting is properly represented
  • Writes unit and integration tests based on chosen DevOps frameworks
  • Executes application analysis and recommends quality improvements
  • Assists Production Support by providing advice on system functionality and fixes as required
  • Communicates in a clear and concise manner all time delays or defects in the software immediately to appropriate team members and management
  • Work with tools to make it easier for teams to deploy their applications to environments outside of development
  • Develop programs to automate security checks and controls into the build and deployment pipelines
  • Develop Analysis Tools for debugging and supporting applications in test and production environments
  • Work with development, platform automation and security teams to build automation, establish standards and best practices that need to be solved enterprise wide
  • Peer program with development teams to show them CI/CD pipelines and help them to implement standard and best practices
  • Writes unit and integration tests based on chosen DevOps frameworks
  • Troubleshoot environments as problems arise, test fixes, and perform follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • [Preferred] Experience writing unit and integration tests with testing frameworks like Junit
  • [Preferred] Experience working with various types of databases like Relational
  • [Preferred] Experience following Git workflows
  • [Preferred] Working knowledge of DevOps tools. Eg Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Helm and CI/CD pipeline etc
  • [Preferred] Familiarity with monitoring related tools and frameworks like Splunk, ElasticSearch, Prometheus, AppDynamics

Technical Skills:

  • [Required] 1+ year of experience in working high speed, data-centric solutions
  • [Required] Java and/or Python 1+ years of experience
  • [Required] 1+ SQL experience
  • [Preferred] 1+ years hands on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, tools, and technologies such as GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Docker, Compose, K8s, Harness
  • [Preferred] Working knowledge of Kafka
  • [Preferred] Working knowledge of Terraform (Enterprise preferred)
  • [Preferred] Working knowledge of Kubernetes & Helm
  • [Preferred] Working knowledge of Containers
  • [Preferred] Experience working with Cloud ecosystems (AWS preferred)

Education and/or Experience:

  • [Preferred] BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field

Certificates or Licenses:

  • [Preferred] OCP Java SE 8 Programmer Certification is a plus
