Associate Specialist, Human Rights Compliance - 3rd Party Management
Job Description
This is a highly collaborative role that requires effective & consistent communication with stakeholders at all levels to design, implement and manage Northern Trust's compliance with Human Rights obligations.
As a Project Manager, you will directly impact Northern Trust's third party resiliency capabilities by collaborating with cross functional business, function and risk teams to develop a consistent process which enables the organization to be proactive in managing any disruptions to operations resulting from third parties.
Key responsibilities
- Own and develop the project roadmap for exit strategy lifecycle
- Monitor, control and close projects along the project life cycle journey
- Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress within the project
- Perform quality control on exit strategy readiness plans, exit strategies and follow up on after action reports
- Assist in designing the internal tooling and manual risk review workflow creation process
- Ensure a broader viewpoint is held, balancing perspectives

Core requirements
- 3-5 years of project management experience, including a focus on Operations initiatives, in complex, high-growth organizations
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and act tactically
- Proficiency working with cross-functional business stakeholders and technical teams
- Ability to streamline ambiguous situations and execute multiple, complex initiatives with precision and urgency
- Confidence presenting and regularly reporting on initiatives to stakeholder audiences across all levels of the organization
- Ability to challenge the status quo, champion change, and influence others
- Understanding of and years of practice with various PMI methodologies
Preferred requirements
- Experience working on projects for Risk, Trust, Safety or Fraud teams
- PMP or Lean Six Sigma - Green Belt certification preferred
