Global Markets Group is the offshoring arm of Morgan Stanley's Sales & Trading businesses in India. It covers functions across IED and Fixed Income Division (FID) ranging from those associated with sales, trading, analytics, strats to risk management.

Primary Responsibilities

Morgan Stanley Electronic Trading ("MSET") is a global leader in equity and derivatives electronic trading. The MSET Vendors group coordinates new client onboards including vendor relationships and FIX connectivity. This role, based in Mumbai, requires the individual to work closely with global products and client coverage across the execution services business. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, fast-learning, proactive and self-motivated individual who helps manage the EMS/OMS vendors relationships globally including client trading connectivity, cost management, contract negotiation and maintenance of both MS and bespoke client functionality and destinations on the platforms.

The basic skills required for this role are the ability to understand and navigate client workflow, assess cost and risk, manage large datasets and manipulate data in response to queries confidently, completely and promptly.

The key elements of the role are -

ยง Experience with third party Execution and Order Management Systems

ยง Detailed understanding of FIX protocol and connectivity workflow

ยง Review and execution of client and 3rd party vendor requests

ยง Management of cost and profitability of vendor relations with new client onboards

ยง Liaison with IT teams to drive IT enhancements goals

Core Requirements

We are looking for a confident and outgoing person, who has exceptional attention to detail and takes initiative.
  • Bachelor's degree from any stream with 1 - 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Exposure to / knowledge of different equity and equity derivatives asset classes is desirable
  • Exposure to / knowledge of Financial eXchange Interface (FIX protocol) and different order and execution management systems is desirable
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge and extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel including macros and visual basic (preferable)
  • Familiarity with databases and the ability to manipulate/analyze data confidently
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Teamwork
  • Problem solving
