LOCATION: 

The Global Partner Insights and Strategy Associate is a remote, work from home position, as are all positions at Acceleration Partners (a structure central to our culture and our vision to change the work/life paradigm).

Some travel is required for client meetings or other internal meetings, conferences, etc.

THE ROLE:

The Associate, Strategy & Insights is responsible for supporting our Global Strategy Team by executing and reporting on paid marketing client engagements and campaigns, supporting strategic consulting projects and ad hoc reporting, including: data pulling, data manipulation and insight creation.  The Associate will support the Manager of Strategy & Insights with the execution of strategic TM+ (paid search) publisher efforts across our client portfolio and Google Analytics reviews for our key clients, helping to support growth and retention.  Additionally, the Associate will support strategic consulting services both internally and externally.

TOP 5 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. EXECUTE GLOBAL STRATEGY SERVICES – Support and execute strategic consulting projects, Trademark Plus (TM+) campaigns and Google Analytics Reviews by working directly with our affiliate marketing account teams. Proactively reports on performance and shares key learnings from global strategy services support with account teams. Owns and manages client tasks with limited supervision but calls on needed support and informs manager when appropriate.   Takes ownership and accountability when tasks are missed. Prioritizes tasks appropriately and asks questions where needed; keeps manager informed of potential delays.  Detail oriented, completes all expected tasks without prompting.

  1. PAID MARKETING CLIENT EXECUTION – Supports and executes the active strategy and reporting for SEM (Google, Bing) and paid social (Facebook, Pinterest) campaigns. Execute applications for affiliate / partner marketing programs. Organizes tasks by priority, creates efficient workflow, simplifying complex processes. 

 

  1. REPORTING - Uses Excel fluidly as an important tool; has mastered v-lookups and pivot tables. Accurately prepares weekly, monthly and end of year reporting for digital strategy client and is able to analyze data and summarize insights & trends in order to find opportunities and escalate any potential red flags. Tracks and analyzes performance campaigns and recommends improvements to maximize client’s goals. Detail oriented; work is thorough and accurate.

 

  1. CLIENT SERVICE & COMMUNICATION – Display confidence and expertise while communicating and interacting with clients and internal stakeholders, while quickly developing trust to nurture excellent relationships. Flag potential issues and roadblocks that may impact a client or project’s success, along with possible solutions on how to resolve. Verbal, written, and presentation skills are top notch, high-quality and represent AP’s standards. An effective team communicator: gives clear and timely status updates, asks appropriate questions, shares information proactively with team.

  1. GLOBAL TOOLS INTEGRATION – Manages multiple tools and processes while displaying consistent organizational skills and the ability to focus on and prioritize tasks based on client objectives.  Supports the global strategy team proactively and exhibits Excel & Improve mentality to provide supportive feedback and ideas for process and training improvement.    

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

BY 6 MONTHS… the Associate, Strategy & Insights is executing multiple successful paid marketing campaigns and translating the data and insights into actionable next steps for both the client and Acceleration Partners. The Associate is supporting the Manager on the execution of the trademark plus program and Google Analytics reviews while also supporting strategic consulting projects.  The Associate can draft client communications with little guidance from manager.

BY 1 YEAR… The Associate, Strategy & Insights is regularly developing new campaign and strategic consulting ideas to present to the manager, and an integral part of support.  Efficiencies are continuing to be created by working closely with the manager to provide excellent client service.  The Associate serves as a thought leader among peers and regularly shares learnings within peer group for greater relationship & firm-building.

  • Has direct affiliate marketing experience (in-house, agency, network) or a strong interest in the industry
  • Tools (SEMRush, SimilarWeb) experience preferred, not required
  • Knowledge of Affiliate Networks or SaaS platforms (ShareASale, Commission Junction, Impact, etc.) experience preferred, not required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • 1-4 years of online marketing, e-commerce, or affiliate marketing experience
  • Knowledge of Affiliate Networks and SaaS Platforms (ShareASale, Commission Junction, Impact, etc.) a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 
  • Ability to travel when needed to conferences and team meetings
  • Advanced Excel capabilities and comfortable with formatting, formulas, customizing reports, etc.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, a plus
