Organizational Overview:

The Master Data team plays a critical role in providing and maintaining the fundamental master data set residing in SAP and Manufacturing systems to the Indianapolis Device Assembly & Packaging site. In addition, the team is also involved in supporting the implementation of OSSCE Class A, through the development of OSSCE processes and metrics, and is influential in advocating the adaptation of the principles through the site. The master data set includes Material Master, Bill of Materials, Recipes, Resource, Purchasing-Info Records and Warehousing data. The Associate - Master Data Analyst is responsible for maintaining the quality and integrity of the data by inputting and verifying of data into SAP (R/3 and APO), MES / PMX, and maintaining data accuracy through audits, and Master Data changes. This individual will be responsible for managing all data addition and changes, per customer or SME requirements. They will work closely with multiple teams across the site to manage data change requests, solve technical issues, and contribute to continuous improvement activities around Master Data. The position requires substantial knowledge of site processes, understanding of the significance of accurate data management and demonstration of an excellent eye for detail. Knowledge and familiarization with the SAP system is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Executing key data maintenance and data design for Master Data in SAP and associated systems
  • Creating and maintaining local formal Standard Operating Procedures and training materials
  • Determining impact of local and/or global changes while ensuring global data consistence and conformance to Standard Operating Procedures. For example, these changes could include SAP Master Data maintenance changes, interfaced system changes (e.g., Blue, PMX, etc.), or process changes driven by Technical Services / Manufacturing Sciences or Engineering.
  • Identifying and participating in or leading process improvement initiatives which could include, developing and maintaining DSP flows, using Winshuttle for improved maintenance efficiency, or leveraging appropriate tools / reports to track maintenance efforts and both data accuracy and completeness.
  • Where applicable, participating in annual standard costing assessment in readiness for Business Planning and driving the annual review of planning parameter and other key fields
  • Troubleshooting SAP (or level 3 system such as PMX) execution problems (which may include logging formal IT incidents), identifying root causes, and implementing solutions
  • Investigating deviations and providing impact assessments for change management
  • Contributing to global initiatives for Master Data Management, as required, and attending select Power User forums to share best practices with peers
  • Maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountably for supporting all Health, Safety & Environmental Corporate and Site goals.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, STEM discipline preferred OR 5 years of manufacturing or supply chain experience
