Associate Supply Chain Systems Specialist - Production Planning Support
This position will be located on-site, at our corporate office in Salt Lake City. The Planning Support role will collaborate across teams using systems like Jira to ensure our orders are planned and delivered on schedule. This role will be instrumental in improving systems, communications, and workloads for our busy Supply Chain team. Objectives and Responsibilities
- Proactively engage in planning for event-based orders to set delivery expectations and to optimize costs
- Participate with product development on digital information flows to enable flawless execution and first-time quality
- Assist in workload leveling for all Supply Chain teams
- Troubleshoot and maintain order scheduling rules and routings
- Collaborate with IT to improve auto-scheduling rules
- Be the first level of support for issues related to systems used by the Supply Chain, including: SAP, HighJump (WMS), PA, LIDS, and Globalship
- Understand front-end and supporting systems to collaborate effectively with order management teams
- Manage, plan, and set inventory levels for workload leveling
- Build great working relationships with members of Client Services, IT, Marketing, et al.
- Write and run SQL queries to gather data, create reports, and update configuration
- Execute production optimization studies to determine the best production fit for order flow
- SAP part and order build
- Manage workload via Jira and Microsoft Dynamics
- Other tasks and duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
- Lean continuous improvement experience
- Two years of work-related experience
- SAP systems experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree
Skills and Abilities:
- Production planning and scheduling
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Enjoys learning, especially when it comes to technology
- Ability to see how different systems interact and where root causes originate
- Strong desire to support our production teams and work to alleviate front-line pain points related to planning and workload
- Strong aptitude for detail-oriented work, including checklist verification, meticulous planning, and a deep curiosity to understand complexity
- High level of computer proficiency
- Understanding of workload leveling and lean flow production philosophy
- Familiarity with ERP systems and Information Systems
