Job Description Summary:

As an Associate Systems Engineer at Rocket Software, you are part of a global, fast-paced IT organization with a primary mission to provide world class service to software development labs and internal departments ensuring our employees are able to perform at the highest level. You will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance, support, and monitoring of complex systems in your area of responsibility. You will identify, analyze, and resolve system issues and report on deficiencies in configuration, process, and documentation as well as develop and recommend corrective actions. You will collaborate with senior members of the team to influence and make suggestions that aid in the designing of technical solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day system administration and tasks for assigned systems. Work with both internal and external customers and vendors to resolves technical system problems in a timely manner with a primary focus on moderately complex problems.
• As part of a vulnerability management program, perform analysis, planning, and remediation of vulnerabilities within the estate. This includes program updates for vulnerability prioritization, risk reduction, and remediation roadmaps.
• Act independently while maintaining top level responsibility for detailed solution analysis and design across the relevant project phases.
• Support development labs and other critical infrastructure which supports Rocket Software business units.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience supporting environments of 500+ systems in a multiple data center design.
• Strength and experience in applying patches, updates, and configuration adjustments on Windows, or Linux systems (or both).
• Ability to troubleshoot incidents and conduct system analysis with minimal direction.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and configuration including the OSI model, TCP/IP.
• Ability and motivation to learn new technologies quickly and with minimal support and guidance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; desire and ability to document configurations in support of a larger team.
• Good interpersonal skills with a strong focus on listening and questioning to derive the best solutions
• Ability to present ideas and concepts in a team environment that values data-driven decisions

Required Qualifications:

• CompTIA Server+ or similar certification

Annual salary range for this position is between €20,405.00 - €37,895.00 gross before taxes.

Salary range applies only to candidates in Lithuania

Salary offer for the candidate is determined based on the predefined salary ranges for the position and depends on the level of competence and experience of the candidate.
