Associate Systems Engineer

Beginner to intermediate Linux command line skills required.

Common accountabilities:

- Demonstrate self-initiative and self-motivation.

- Work autonomously within defined processes and procedures or methodologies, takes standard decisions and may support the development of solutions to complex problems of a recurring nature.

- Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles or manager, with regular monitoring on the status of the assignments.

- May have specialized formal education or the equivalent work experience and has the required technical and functional skills and basic knowledge of the business.

- Exposure to project work/project management a plus.

Problem & Incident Management

- Take ownership of and resolve incidents and problems encountered in a timely and efficient manner.

- Capitalize on functional and technical knowledge to lead the activity and perform at the highest level.

- Contributes to build an healthy and collaborative environment, leading by example

Minimum 1 year experience with at least two of the following:• Excellent analytical ability, strong troubleshooting skills, understanding of how to isolate and diagnose application or system problems• Experience in running, supporting and managing high availability infrastructures (24/7/365 >99.999% up-time requirements)• Beginning to intermediate programming / scripting skills• Intermediate understanding of network concepts• System and application performance analysis• Cluster management• Basic understanding of SQL statements• Basic understanding of Virtualization concepts• Basic understanding of Operational Support of Cloud based services (i.e. IaaS, Paas)• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products• Above average performance in present or previous position for not less than 1 year
