Base Pay Range: $25.49 - $43.32 Per Hour

Group/Division

KLA has manufacturing sites across the globe, including Belgium, China, Germany, Israel, Singapore and Milpitas (CA). The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation, and Quality, is responsible for manufacturing our leading-edge technology. We partner with our world-wide supply base and our design engineering teams to bring new products to market. The GOPS team is continuously working to build our products Better, Faster, Cheaper.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

In this role you will be working in a laboratory, doing the following: upkeep of instruments, calibration of instruments, ordering supplies. Support internal customers on production and engineering teams. Take in samples from various production areas and process the samples from documentation and verification of sample with physical sample. You will be programing GCMS instrument.

Job Duties, but not limited to:

• Following instructions from MDE GCMS and GCMS lead. Proactively developing strong relationships with GCMS team and internal customers.
• Responsible for calibration, maintaining and troubleshooting of GCMS instruments.
• Preparing samples, calibrating instruments, testing samples and reporting accurate results, on time data, in fast-paced environment.
• Able to separate, identify, and quantify impurities and target compounds.
• Setting up and conducting material outgassing and materials experimental work, including setting up procedures, performing experiments, and keeping records of experiments.
• Maintaining laboratory reagent, gas cylinder and consumable inventories.
• Cleaning, packaging and shipping sampling kit to customer for sample collection.
• Able to support flexible work schedule to support mfg and MDE samples.

Qualifications:

• Technical School or work experience of 3 years. An AA degree or their equivalent vocational training is required. BS in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science or related field is preferred.
• Experience in analytical chemistry lab.
• Ability to read complicated drawings and utilize mathematics, handbook formulas, and a variety of precision testing and measuring instruments.
• Ability to work in a clean room environment.

4-6 years or relevant experience
