Associate, Trading

Role

SCS Financial is looking for an Associate to join the SCS Trading Team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are interested in trading and portfolio management. As part of the Trading Team, your primary responsibility will be the daily submission and execution of trades across various asset classes and security types. Further, you will play an integral role in the management of portfolios in accordance with the asset allocation models set out by the Investment Group.

Responsibilities

• Trade submission and execution across multiple asset classes and security types (Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives)
• Monitor and rebalance client portfolios for model and IPS compliance
• Liaise with Private Client Group to ensure portfolios are being managed to the specific requirements of the individual client
• Maintenance of trading systems used by the Trading Team
• Assist Equity, Fixed Income, Hedge Fund and Private Investment teams with various ad hoc projects

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in financial services required, time spent in a trading or trading adjacent role preferred
• General understanding of securities markets
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science or other related area preferred
• Experience with Excel and Bloomberg Exposure to RedBlack, SQL or various programming languages preferred
• Strong attention to detail and comfort with managing multiple tasks
• Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management Must be proactive and solutions oriented.
