WSP is currently initiating a search for a Associate Traffic Engineer for our Austin, Dallas, Houston or San Antonio, TX offices.

Duties and Responsibilities:• Assist with delivering critical infrastructure projects.• Assist with traffic engineering design using MicroStation.• Assist with traffic operations analysis using HCS, Synchro, VISSIM.• Assist with technical writing and business development.• Coordination with other engineering disciplines.

Minimum Qualifications:• 1-3 years of traffic engineering experience.• Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering.• Microstation or other CAD program proficiency.• Knowledge of traffic engineering and planning software (HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, ArcGIS).• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and Power Point.• Experience working on traffic impact analyses, traffic signal warrant studies, traffic projections, interstate access justification studies, feasibility studies, safety studies, traffic diversion studies, traffic signal operations, traffic signal design and signing/pavement markings design.• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Preferred Qualifications:• TxDOT, Bexar County and City of San Antonio (CoSA) experience.• Project management experience.• Involvement in industry organizations (ITE, TSPE, ASCE, etc.).
