Associate Vice President, Systems & Technology

By combining all these factors, Arbol brings scale, transparency, and efficiency to parametric coverage.

We are seeking an AVP of Systems and Technology for a new Arbol subsidiary. This role will play a pivotal role in establishing strategic and operational processes to facilitate the growth and success of a new business. Directly reporting to the COO, the AVP - Systems and Technology will oversee day-to-day policy administration systems operations and direct the work of the Technology teams to lead startup business operations. This role will work from our upcoming Sarasota, Florida office.

What You'll Be Doing

• Collaborate with other employees and teams throughout the organization to understand the needs to be supported by the information systems and technology
• Lead and work closely with vendor business analysts providing critical direction on production and test environments
• Plans and manages critical projects relating to systems and technology
• Provides recommendations regarding the evolution of the system
• Responds to inquiries and provides advice regarding current and potential system inputs, processes, and outputs
• Negotiate plans and timeframes, ensuring that leadership understands the anticipated result
• Develop and communicate detailed specifications for implementation
• Produce reports, timelines, and graphics to communicate expectations and progress to management, customers, investors, and other relevant parties
• Maintain and ensures proper documentation and coordinates or performs testing of system modifications
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure the needs of the client have been met
• Research and analyze the nature, effect, and results of system difficulties.
• Act as liaison with Information Technology and/or outside vendors to support relevant systems.
• Maintain current understanding of industry standards, trends, and best practices through industry and other professional networks.

What You'll Need

• 7 years insurance related experience, preferably in a leadership role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau).
• Knowledge of business process modeling and analysis techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Project management and change management expertise is a plus
