Job Title: Associate VP-Business Lifecycle Management Lead

Reports to: Sr. VP-Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing Strategy

Collaborates with Technical and Commercial product lifecycle management teams to orchestrate lifecycle planning for pre- and post-launch products globally. Develops supply chain segmentation strategy for product/data flows aligned to the product's maturity. Drives within the Manufacturing & Quality organization portfolio management discussions, business development, and alliance management activities for insourcing/outsourcing of new molecules.
Responsibilities:
Functional:
- Drives business development initiatives to bring in new molecules that align with portfolio strategy
- Leads Supply Chain periodic portfolio management reviews in coordination with R&D and Technical services teams
- Drives development of robust supply chain processes and provides supply chain related insights to assist in launch, post launch, acquisition, and/or divestiture activities
- Accountable for life-cycle management segmentation processes
- Provides strategic and business process guidance to regional demand planning and commercial teams for variation / flavor management
- Coordinates with Network and Site leaders on launch readiness for new global products
- Drives post launch planning with Supply Chain teams to ensure supply assurance for increase / decrease in market demand for products
- Partners with Commercial, Finance, and Technical Services to determine product segmentation and determine appropriate service levels
- Partners with Networks strategy leaders to support long range planning conversations based on the product portfolio (pipeline and commercialized products)
- Manages ongoing supply and demand planning activities for alliances, analyzes derived outcomes and flags variations to be escalated to management
- Collaborates with product team leaders to manage product portfolio by providing them supply chain related insights and recommendations
Leadership:
- Manages, coaches, and develops high performing teams that meet agreed objectives and deliver best practice results
- Establishes effective performance management and talent development, continually coaching supply chain leaders and technical practitioners on professional career opportunities
- Operates in highly matrixed structure, connecting dots across the enterprise to address critical issues, mitigate risks and create transformational opportunities
- Enables cross-functional collaboration and business alignment through governance facilitation on Business Lifecycle Management processes
- Works as part of the Global Supply Chain & Manufacturing Strategy Lead Team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous process improvement, digitalization efforts, and talent development activities
- Evaluates and promotes supply chain innovation and change, influences diverse teams on integrated and agile implementations, continuous improvement, and change management
- Ensures diversity, inclusion, safety, and active engagement of our Supply Chain professionals
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or other related sciences (Master's degree preferred in the same fields)
- Has 15+ years of experience in a supply chain management role within the pharmaceutical industry
- 7+ years of experience driving product lifecycle management strategies
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Orchestration and program management experience in pre-launch, launch, post launch planning, product retirement planning, variation/flavors implementation, and overall SKU management activities
- PMP, Six Sigma, or Oliver Wight Class A certifications preferred
- Advanced skills with key applications for Program Management (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, Visio, etc.)
- Skillful in negotiating potentially difficult and sensitive matters; able to influence policy making bodies both internally and externally
- Highly skilled communicator with the ability to communicate complex concepts to others at all levels, clearly articulating analysis, insights, project progress, and escalations
- Has deep knowledge of industry and ability to sense and quickly connect complex market events with internal capabilities that pose risks or potential opportunities for the enterprise
- Has worked in international and multifunctional teams, successful in matrixed organizational structures
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders and form and maintain strong relationships internally and externally
- Builds an innovative, diverse, world-class team; demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop & coach others, and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes
- Knowledge of GMP/GDP policies and procedures and/or exposure to clean/cold chain operations in regulated industry
- Previous leadership experience with direct reports or executive leadership of teams
