Role Summary
Assist the Human Resources Manager in leading the HR and Safety Team by creating and implementing objectives, policies, procedures, processes and programs. Ensure that the organizational HR objectives are successfully achieved primarily related to the results of the Employee Opinion Survey, HR Assessment and Safety, Environmental and Ergonomic audits. Assists the General Manager and Assistant General Manager in maintaining a plant wide commitment that the highest quality product possible is manufactured.

Role Summary
Assist the Human Resources Manager in leading the HR and Safety Team by creating and implementing objectives, policies, procedures, processes and programs. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, develop, implement, and manage HR policies, procedures, processes and programs.
- Provide leadership to the HR and Safety Team.
- Establish short-term and long-term HR strategies for the division in conjunction with corporate and department needs and requirements.
- Keeps abreast of HR trends, governmental legislations and laws and implement as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.
- Advise and/or assist the division managers in interpretation and administration of HR policies, procedures and contract bargaining language (CBU).
- Conduct proper and legal handling of performance issues, hiring, promotion/demotions, terminations and resignations as well as disciplinary actions and probationary periods.
- Ensure compliance with the department's designated ISO 14001 and ISO/TS 16949 requirements.
- Coordinate and assist with the Employee Opinion Survey process; Safety, Environmental and Ergonomic audits; and HR assessment.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial & Labor Relations, Business Administration or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive HR experience including a minimum of five (5) years in a unionized automotive manufacturing environment and a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory responsibility.
