AS&T Engineer

  As a AS&T Sr. Engineer you are tasked to ensure that laboratory uses the most useful equipment, technologies, procedures and analytical methods and techniques are state of the art, accurate and sound analytical data is key for improving laboratory processes and to establish a better understanding at Batam. In this role, a typical day will include:

  Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute equipment qualification/requalification and may include computerized validation (CSV) are meet current requirement.
• Manage the equipment/system life cycle.
• Develop test method, and manage the method lifecycle.
• Analyze qualification data and identify any deviations from specifications.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to address qualification issues.
• Define the process performance characterization and continuous improvement in laboratory.
• To acquire and apply scientific knowledge to oversee all aspects of laboratory testing/processes.
• Stay up to date on the latest equipment qualification standards and regulations.

• What Can You Bring to Alcon:

• Bachelor's degree in physic, science, engineering, instrumentation, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment qualification (or relevant field).
• Experience operating a CMM machine (preferred).
• Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Working knowledge of Measurement System Analysis (MSA) techniques (e.g., Gage R&R, Attribute Agreement Analysis).
• Strong understanding of statistical methods and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of qualification principles and methodologies (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of relevant regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, USP, cGMP) (a plus).
• Experience with qualification management software (a plus).
• Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) (a plus).
