Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced AV Engineer with expert-level Crestron knowledge to join our team at Wilks Brothers. As an AV Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining audiovisual systems for commercial and residential properties. Your role will involve installation, diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and upgrades of hardware and equipment. Additionally, you will troubleshoot problem areas, provide timely assistance to end users, and conduct training when necessary.
Key Roles / Responsibilities:
- Direct involvement in all aspects and phases of audiovisual projects, including programming, design, and construction administration.
- Attend internal and client meetings to provide direction, create red lines/sketches, and perform quality checks on deliverables.
- Develop AV system designs, create budgets, and issue equipment lists, system drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices, company standards, and client requirements.
- Collaborate with the project manager to cover design aspects and client needs during fieldwork.
- Participate in lessons learned sessions, continuous education, and research and development for new products to maintain and enhance company standards.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience.
- Industry-standard certifications, with a minimum of CTS Certification.
- Expert-level Crestron programming certifications (CTS-D, CTS-I, Crestron Programmer certifications) preferred.
- AV manufacturer or industry-related training and certifications.
- Strong working knowledge of Audiovisual systems, software, and video distribution.
- Experience with remote support tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
- Effective communication skills and customer-focused approach.
Working Conditions:
- Availability for 24/7 support and participation in on-call rotation for after-hours assistance.
- Physical ability to lift and/or move equipment weighing 50 to 70 pounds.
- Mobility to reach equipment and perform diagnostics and limited repairs in confined spaces.
- Minimum of 40 hours per week unless otherwise directed by the supervisor.
- Up to 75% travel may be required.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Positions self to install equipment, including under desks.
- Moves throughout the building to access files.
- Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
- Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
- Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
- Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
