Summary
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a AUDITOR - TITLE 5, Position Description Number PDT5147P01, PDT5422P01, and PDT5148P01 and is part of the KY USPFO, National Guard.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
May be required to successfully complete a trial period.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
May be subject to furlough actions.Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility.This position is located on a tobacco free facility.
Must obtain and maintain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation.
This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
Financial Management Level 2 Certification: Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all DoD and DoA requirements of this certification program as a condition of employment for this position. Employees must obtain the appropriate certification levels for their positions within 24 months after initial assignment; and, employees must maintain the positions' continuous training and education studies, as identified for each certification level, during the defined 24-month period. Must complete the requisite quantity of CETs every two years to sustain the achieved certification level.
NOTE: A retired member of the Armed Forces may not be appointed to a DOD civilian position within 180 days after retirement, without a TAG approved waiver, in accordance with DoDi 1402.01, Employment of Retired Members of the Armed Forces, dated 09 Sep 2007 and National Guard Appointment for Retired Members of the Armed Forces Memo, dated 18 Jan 2019.
Qualifications
FOR THE GS-07:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least one (1) year experience at the next lower level in the normal line of progression through federal service (GS-05) or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates the experience and knowledge of auditing principles and procedures.
FOR THE GS-09:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least one (1) year experience at the next lower level in the normal line of progression through federal service (GS-07) or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates the experience and knowledge of auditing principles and procedures. Knowledge of the concepts of audit business program requirements. Experience conducting audits in accordance with directives and policies. Experience studying and evaluating internal controls to determine the level of system reliability. Experience determining audit procedures needed to attain audit objectives. Experience obtaining evidence through inspection, observation, and inquiries, to provide a reasonable basis for an opinion in regard to the activity under examination. Experience conducting examinations and tests that used statistical and/or judgmental sampling of financial records and management controls to determine the degree of efficiency and effectiveness, and to determine that financial records were maintained in accordance with applicable regulations.
FOR THE GS-11:

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Resume must have complete dates, work schedule, and/or hours worked per week for both civilian and military employment. (Example: 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981; 0800-1630 M-F or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981; 40 hrs/wk) Use of year only and unspecified work schedule will result in disqualification. Education
Degree:
Accounting;
- OR -
a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included - or - as supplemented by 24 semester hours (or 36 quarter hours) in accounting. These hours may include up to six semester hours (or 9 quarter hours) of credit in business law.
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's degree or higher.
To receive credit for education, you must provide OFFICIAL transcripts for validation.
