Summary
The AutoCAD Consultant utilizes knowledge of computer aided design software to provide ongoing maintenance and support of base architectural plans, square footage calculations, as-built conditions, and emergency plans. The Consultant conducts field verifications of physical locations and creates and/or updates CAD files according to client standards, analyses building data and generates reports.

Summary
The AutoCAD Consultant utilizes knowledge of computer aided design software to provide ongoing maintenance and support of base architectural plans, square footage calculations, as-built conditions, and emergency plans. The Consultant conducts field verifications of physical locations and creates and/or updates CAD files according to client standards, analyses building data and generates reports.
Responsibilities
- Develop space plans, schematic plans, construction drawings, square footage allocations, and/or other related specifications using 2D and 3D BIM/CAD drafting software according to project specification
- Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, and related data to assess factors affecting building structures
- Keep up to date with general industry standards (i.e. BOMA, REBNY, Local Emergency Plan Ordinances) and seek ways to increase operational efficiency
- Must provide high-quality customer service, responding appropriately to customer requests in a respectful and timely manner; Comfortable interacting with customers either in person, phone or email.
- Corresponds, collaborates and brainstorms with colleagues and clients
- Ensure all work is complete and accurate prior to submitting for manager review
- Provide an accurate accounting of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time entry
Requirements
- Associate degree in architectural drafting, CAD, or other related discipline required. B.S. or B.A. preferred
- This position may require travel up to 25% of the time nationally
- 1+ years of experience in real estate planning, design and field verification required
- Valid Driver's license
- Proficient in Auto-CAD 2023 and later versions with a strong emphasis on architectural drafting
- Detail oriented with strong organizational, analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Able to multitask and use time efficiently to meet project deadlines
- Strong communication skills; ability to interact with wide range of clients' and professionals.
- Self-Motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, web-based applications, Access, etc.) Higher level of experience in Excel - Conditional formatting, working with formulas, linking through multiple spreadsheets.
- Proficient in Adobe applications, i.e Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop and/ or InDesign
