Position Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our growing Engineering Team with a passion for improving the experience of our analytical tools. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of writing advanced automated tests, demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail. Candidates must have prior testing background, with solid experience in developing and maintaining test automation, prior experience in manual testing would be beneficial. We need someone who can handle both Back End and Front End automation testing.

What You'll Do:

• 5+ years of experience in the Information Technology field, focusing on Automation Testing
• Perform all aspects of quality assurance during the sprint cycles including test strategies, test case documentation, test data, and test execution
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend QA processes and activities supporting software engineering in an agile, scrum team environment, including Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews and Sprint Retrospectives.
• Experience with SOAP, RESTful web services
• Working with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Test Rails to log any bugs and test results
• Detail-oriented, demonstrated the ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and foster a team-oriented and results-driven culture
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to
• interact across all levels of the organization

Requirements

What You Need:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent years of experience Communications, Marketing, Management, Marketing Management, or Business

• 3+ years of experience in automated QA
• Comfortability to handle the most complex quality assurance and test environment problems and issues; act as a lead in the creation, preparation, and conduct of quality assurance reviews and the development and execution of test plans and test scripts
• Write basic SQL scripts for backend testing and log validation
• Accountable for regression of product suite in maintaining quality
• Request/Response validation of REST/Web API's
• Work closely with Dev team members to understand testing objectives and ensure that problems are resolved in a timely and efficient manner
• Accurately estimate new feature items for both test case development and testing
• Participate in use case/user story discussions/review to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Write test cases, test scenarios, test data preparation, test execution, defect
• tracking, and resolution
• Participate in requirements analysis/review and working sessions to understand the requirements, design specs, and user stories

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with an MVC framework
• Front-end framework experience, such as VueJS or React
• Familiarity with database languages, such as SQL and RDBMS
• Familiarity with APIs
• Experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka
