Automation Developer Intern

Introduction
This role is primarily supporting existing automation used to deploy and manage IBM software products in a Cloud infrastructure. Making changes to refactor correct issues or enhance the automation to improve internal procedures as well as customer experience. The team you would be part of works closely with quality control product developers and architects support reliability engineers and product support groups.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role:

• you will help to build and maintain the next generation SaaS offering for IBM Cognos Analytics working on both product features PoCs and operational automation with a focus on solving real customer problems
• you will participate in requirements gathering sprint planning design and technical review to support overall achievement of business objectives
• developing highly efficient automation and digital deployment pipelines experimenting with new technologies and development of their own hobby applications.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience in Linux/Unix environment and scripting languages: Shell scripting & experience in working with Artifact Management systems like JFrog Artifactory or others.
• Expertise in writing Ansible Plugins Python programs Groovy scripts Bash scripting Terraform etc. for automated solutions.
• Developing Container orchestration engines such as Kubernetes Operators Helm Charts etc.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Kubernetes/OpenShift skills
• Expertise in writing Ansible Plugins Python programs Groovy scripts Bash scripting Terraform etc for automated solutions
• Expertise with high level languages e.g: GO Nodejs Java
• Experience building applications with a hyperscaler e.g. AWS Azure GCP
• Windows development expertise
