Job Description

Brookfield Properties has an immediate need for an Automation Developer Intern on-site this Summer at the corporate office in Chicago, IL from June 5th through August 11th. You will have the opportunity to partner across teams and senior leaders to learn from them as they have built extraordinary careers in commercial real estate and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate ability to learn through independent study under the guidance of senior automation team members.
  • Pair program with a mentor to learn automation technologies such as UIPath and ServiceNow.
  • Interview IT and Business process owners to document As-Is processes. Work with senior team members to assess those processes for automation viability.
  • Apply and integrate technologies such as UiPath and ServiceNow to deliver efficient business automations.
  • Participate in a delivery team following agile methodology.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure cross-functional issues, tasks, or projects are coordinated and completed with a sense of urgency and a high level of customer service.
  • Translate technology into business language for communication with nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Implement secure development practices and periodically evaluate for security risks and vulnerabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated coursework Computer Science, Information Systems, or other IT related field
  • Junior or Senior in current field of study
  • Ability to demonstrate a process mindset and analytical thinking
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies
  • Independent or school project work that demonstrates coding ability
  • Strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills
