What you will get to do:• Transition manual workflows onto automated platforms• Configure, program, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and processes• Assist in optimizing existing automated processes to improve efficiency, throughput, robustness and quality• Support day-to-day operations by assisting in system error recovery to ensure production runs are completed successfully• Provide support for existing equipment and coordinate vendor support as required• Assist in crafting test plan documents and writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for automated workflows• Collaborate across cross functional teams and execute projects in a timely manner• Monitor and evaluate new and emerging technologies in laboratory automation systems

Requirements/Skills/Relevant Experience:• B.S. or M.S. in molecular biology, chemistry, engineering, or related discipline• Minimum 2-3 years hands on experience in developing on or operating automation and liquid handling depending on the level• Proficiency in reading and writing scripts on automated liquid handling platforms (e.g., Hamilton, Bravo, MGI, etc.,)• Experience with writing and executing test protocols, designing experiments• Experience with NGS methods is highly desirable.• Analytical, creative thinker, ability to solve problems, find solutions• Effective organizational and time management skills to handle concurring projects and support needs• Capability to work independently and as part of a team supporting both broad and intimate initiatives• Experience working in a clinically regulated environment is highly desirable• Excellent written and communication skills
