We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and implementing advanced technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical expertise, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
-Develop and optimize manufacturing processes:
-Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
-Design and implement process enhancements to optimize productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency.
-Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability of products.
Fanuc Robotics and iRVision:
-Utilize expertise in Fanuc robotics to design, program, and integrate robotic systems into manufacturing processes.
-Collaborate with the robotics team to develop automation solutions for improved efficiency and quality.
-Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to robotic systems.
-Implement and optimize Fanuc IR vision systems for robotic guidance, inspection, and quality control
GROB CNC and Machining:
-Oversee the operation and programming of GROB CNC machines.
-Ensure the CNC machines are properly set up, calibrated, and maintained.
-Optimize machining processes to achieve high-quality production output.
-Utilize parametric programming techniques to enhance flexibility and adaptability in manufacturing processes.
Siemens NX Programming:
-Utilize expertise in Siemens NX programming for creating and modifying machining programs.
-Collaborate with the design and programming teams to ensure seamless integration of Siemens NX programming with manufacturing processes.
-Possess familiarity with VNCK (Virtual Numerical Control Kernel) software for simulation and programming of CNC machines.
Vision Systems Integration:
-Design and implement vision systems for inspection, quality control, and process optimization.
-Integrate vision systems with robotic and automation solutions to enhance production capabilities.
-Collaborate with vision system suppliers and internal teams to ensure successful integration and functionality.
Automation Control Systems:
-Apply knowledge of automation programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot and identify issues and provide timely resolutions.
-Collaborate with electrical and controls engineering teams to integrate PLC systems with manufacturing equipment.
Project Functions (FAT, SAT):
-Coordinate and participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of equipment and systems.
-Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure compliance with project requirements during FAT.
-Coordinate and participate in Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) to verify successful installation and functionality of equipment and systems.
-Ensure FAT and SAT documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with project specifications.
Continuous Improvement:
-Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
-Implement data-driven methodologies to monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for process improvement.
Technical Support and Documentation:
-Provide technical support and guidance to operations teams.
-Create and maintain accurate documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and training materials.
-Conduct training sessions to ensure proper understanding and implementation of manufacturing processes.
MUST HAVES
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on Fanuc robotics, GROB CNCs, machining, and automation PLC.
- Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
