Your Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing joining processes for our automated production lines, ensuring that they meet industry standards and our internal quality requirements.

  • Work within the Body department providing your skills to manufacture a world class product while achieving KPI targets in quality, cost, delivery, and safety.
  • Safety first. Evaluate and monitor automated processes and people to ensure a safe working environment. Apply problem solving tools to eliminate actual and potential hazards.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot joining processes for automated production lines in the Body Shop department
  • Collaborate with other engineers to ensure successful integration of joining technologies with other manufacturing processes
  • Identify and implement improvements to existing joining processes, utilizing data analysis and root cause analysis techniques
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality requirements for all joining processes
  • Provide technical support to other departments and production teams as needed
  • Support model mfg plan development and execution, including trials and launch of new equipment and tooling.
  • Setup and improvement of cicle time of the robotic cells.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Robotics Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive welding and joining technlogies
  • Proven knowledge + expertise, and passion for training, and building teams
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, and resistance welding
  • Experience with programming Fanuc robots
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with robotic control system architectures and electrical components
  • Experience with robotic simulation software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical or Robotics Engineering, or equivalent technical degree
  • Experience with robotic simulation software
  • Knowledge of materials science and metallurgy related to joining technologies
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies

Annual Salary Range:

($105K - $130K), plus benefits and incentive plans
