Automation Engineer – Fusion Storage

Introduction
In the role of Storage Developer you would be responsible for Designing and development of individual product features for IBM Spectrum Fusion family of storage products on both Hardware (HCI) and Software (SDS) Platforms. You will work with the senior technical leaders and manager in effectively managing the deliverables through his technical skills and prior experience.

Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated individual in joining the IBM Fusion Storage team i.e Enterprise Container-Native Storage Solution for OpenShift as Automation team member to help in creation and execution of test automation for the Storage solution portfolio. As a member of the team you will be automation functional test cases targeted for multiple HCI configurations and SDS offerings. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple test teams to monitor and coordinate test automation activities between them. As the install automation team member you are responsible to establish the automation plan framework and test case designs and schedule and ensure that overall testing and automation is developed within the committed timeframe with high quality.

Responsibilities:

• Establish test plans and test schedules for new releases and interim fixes
• Create and execute test cases. Review test cases created by other teams
• Expand test automation using test automation framework
• Plan and execute Currency tests
• Ensure that overall testing is performed within the committed timeframe
• Support and test for customer support cases

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 8+ years of experience in working as Automation engineer
• Experience with Operating Systems Windows Linux for debugging and troubleshooting purposes
• Experience with HW Platforms x86 Linux PPC Linux Power LE
• Experience with Kubernetes OpenShift and cloud technologies
• Experience with test development with common scripting languages (Golang bash python JavaScript Perl etc.)
• Experience with design and development of Test Automation Framework
• Good understanding of Virtualization (KVM VMWare) Container technologies (e.g. Kubernetes Docker)
• Good understanding of Storage FC/iSCSI/SCSI IP Storage Disk technologies – SSD HDD Cloud Storage.
• Understanding of Openshift Datafoundation platform along with disaster recovery capabilities
• Proficient of any data AI platform
• Excellent communication coordination and organizational skills
• Excellent team leadership skills

• Understanding of Storage technology Backup products Agile methodology
