Our Automation Engineer will be responsible for architecting and developing testing solutions using automation for our new product technologies and fitness software. As an automaton engineer, you will be involved in designing and developing automation frameworks and scripts for test cases and use cases to test software and hardware for our world class fitness equipment.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Engineering & Product Design Center in Franklin Park, IL.
Responsibilities

• Create automation of test cases by clearly articulating test objectives and expected results
• Collaborate with Manual QA team and development team to come up with solutions for some of the repetitive tasks
• Come up with the automation strategies based on project needs
• Maintain the existing scripts and integrate then with CI/Cd pipeline
• Analyze software design and architecture artifacts to develop experiments that ensure safety and reliability of fitness equipment
• Provide estimates for software testing efforts and be instrumental in delivering on time
• Apply critical thinking to solve problems related to end to end product integrations
• Ability to efficiently handle multiple project priorities simultaneously

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or electronics
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation using Java, Python, Bash, or C++
• Working experience of Embedded programming using C or C++
• Experience working with hardware software integration solutions
• Strong working knowledge of the Linux operating system
• Basic knowledge of Electronics and understanding of serial communications such as RS 232, 485 and 422 protocols
• GUI programing using QT/QML and C++ or some equivalent experience

Technical Skills

• Coding knowledge in one or multiple languages like Java, Python, C or C++
• Basic knowledge of Linux and Android
• Working experience with Jenkins, Bit bucket and Git
• Proficient in SQL and working knowledge of relational databases.
• Working knowledge of API's using tools like Postman
• Experience using JIRA (or similar) and Test Management software (Test Rail or similar)
