The Automation Manager will spearhead the development of sustainable automated solutions in accounting operations using Alteryx and other digital tools within the Mars technology ecosystem (including Dremio, Databricks, RPA, Alteryx Designer, and Alteryx Server).
As a key player in the Mars Finance team, the Automation Manager will work closely with finance operations leaders and third-party teams to automate financial operations. This role requires an individual who can independently drive results and demonstrate innovative solutions that deliver a tangible return on investment (ROI) through automation.
What are we looking for?
- Advanced Alteryx user (Designer Advanced, Server proficient)
- Demonstrated history of problem-solving capabilities with Alteryx & other digital tools to drive return on investment (ROI)
- Collaborative skills to work with Mars & third-party associates, automating financial processes
- Strong foundation in Accounting, Finance, or Automation disciplines
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital automation, finance, accounting or a related field
- Strong drive for results with ability to stand alone
- Proven ability in project management and strategic planning
- Ability to travel 5% of time during fiscal year
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Deliver cost savings to the PnL by automating globally standardized financial processes in Supply Chain, Fixed Assets & Demand Finance
- Expand MGS catalog of services by leveraging accounting operations data and turning into actionable insights for Mars units
- Transform the usage of Alteryx Server within Mars by engaging with end users and tech teams to refine server capabilities, scheduling, and usage tracking.
- Design and implement best in class Alteryx workflow controls to ensure high quality first time results
- Promote Alteryx best practices across user groups to bolster the Mars ecosystem.
- Mentor and elevate existing spoke users to achieve core and advanced Alteryx certifications, optimizing the company's investment in Alteryx
