Position Summary

As the Associate Director Automation Product Manager, you will help establish our IT-centric Automation Product which includes our Automation Center of Excellence and the centralized delivery team. You will be accountable for our Automation product's vision, strategy, roadmap and end-to-end product lifecycle. You will promote a strong focus on Product Management including networked, agile ways of working, and closely collaborating with business stakeholders and business developers. The ideal candidate must be a skilled team leader with strong negotiation and influencing skills, be able to work across multiple time zones, handle multiple tasks in parallel, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • You will be running the operations of the Automation Center of Excellence with responsibilities for discovery of automation opportunities and the assessment for solution design, working to prioritize the opportunities, delivering the automation solutions using the appropriate tools and design from our automation platform, and making assignments of automation solutions to business technologists as citizen developers
  • Being a product manager means working with the automation domain architect and teams to deliver the Automation Platform which consists of tools covering multiple capabilities such as RPA, Integration, Orchestration, Scheduling, Process Mining, No-Code (Low-Code) along with the appropriate guardrails and guidance defined for a safe and secure environment
  • You will work with the technical operational management teams to provide a change/release/deployment operations process promoting an Automation DevSecOps approach

  • You will work closely with our business partners to drive the product and business planning processes for cross-functional teams resulting in a 12-18 month rolling roadmap of opportunities
  • You will work closely with our business partners to write and groom user stories
  • You and the automation domain architect will evangelize and mentor other technical delivery teams on how to add automation methods into the delivery of their business solutions for more efficient and effective processes
  • Responsible for product strategy documents that describe robust business cases, ROI analysis, high level use cases, technical requirements, financial plans and financial tracking to ensure the Product remains appropriately funded through its lifecycle
  • Provide direct management and leadership to your team executing the delivery of the technical requirements

  • Ability to work across various time zones including European and Asian
  • May require occasional travel as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in IT and business/industry
  • Minimum 7 years using various business process automation tools that may include: UiPath, BluePrism, SnapLogic, Celonis, Quickbase, ServiceNow No-Code, Control-M scheduling, and others
  • Minimum 7 years of diverse roles and increasing leadership responsibilities across major projects, programs and products
  • Strong experience in a dynamic product management role

  • Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
  • High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization
  • Experience delivering finely tuned product market strategies
  • Product Management (AIPPM), Agile Certification (PMI-ACP) / Scrum Master (CSM) Certification is preferred
  • Excellent communication, influence and documentation skills are required

  • Self-starter with superior problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills, and a track record of high performance and superior delivery
  • Demonstrated leadership including ability to identify key issues, motivate and empower others to address them in a way which builds morale, and generates ownership and commitment

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in related areas and/or equivalent

The estimated base salary range for the Automation Product Manager - Associate Director, IT (Remote or Madison, WI) role based in the United States of America is: $152,000 - $228,000. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
