Automation QA Engineer - Backend Testing (Python & Linux)

Responsibilities

• Work closely with team members (Developers Product Manager and Partners) to develop test and deliver high quality software products

• Create detailed comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases

• Prevent collect analyse and track product defects

• Design develop and execute Automation scripts

• Hands-on Manual investigation and reproduction of functional Backend software issues

• Root cause analysis of existing test script failures

• Identification of current test script deficiencies and candidates for additional scripted coverage

• Investigatory testing of unreleased features including defining requirements behavior and impact

• Documentation and design of candidate test scenarios for the above

Requirements

• 4-6 years experience in software testing methodologies in Automation testing end to end

• Strong ability to to write clear concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases

• Strong ability to handle Backend services such as APIs Databases distributed services

• Familiar with Linux and database operation: Mysql SQLServer Oracle and test environment construction by CICD Spring Boot

• Good written programming skill: Python

• Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process and using collaboration tools such as Jira Trello Slack etc

• Excellent interpersonal consultative and communication skills

• Self-managed proactive work style

• Able to work independently within a team centric environment
