Job Description

PLEASE NOTE: you must reside, and be authorized to work without sponsorship, in Costa Rica.

Additional note:  The Automation Software Engineer in Test should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, Senior levels at 5 plus years. Below are the minimum requirements for the roles we are currently seeking to fill. 

As part of the Quality Assurance Team you will be responsible for:

• Testing releases of new or modified applications developed using Microsoft .Net stack applications, assuring the quality of scalable software solutions by collaborating with business partners to realize the full capability of our Solutions. ****Experience with any CRM or Microsoft Dynamics product a plus. 

• Supporting all quality assurance tasks, test plan preparation, test cases for customizations, extensions, configurations, and integrations. 

• Performing Performance Testing, secondary responsibilities for functional, integration, and regression testing.

• Creating test plans and detailed test cases using Azure DevOps or similar tool (preferably Azure DevOps)

• Documenting any defects found during the daily testing activities and track them to resolution. 

• Supporting DevOps development teams test planning and execution, and code reviews. 

• Participating in release activities and post-release support activities. 

• Supporting user story mapping, sprint planning, estimation, and feature walk-throughs. 

• Participating in user acceptance testing and maintenance of documentation. 

• Reviewing the test plan implications of Change Requests. 

• Contribute to/prepare ad-hoc reports and presentations for PMO, Clients etc. 

• Maintaining current with industry best practices with regards to testing and test automation 

• Remaining current with all Micrososft technologies and potential system implications related to Vendor release upgrades 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• At least a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline is highly preferred (work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered) with 5 or more years of professional experience is required

• 4+ years of professional experience is required related to supporting software development test activities of Microsoft technologies (i.e, .Net applications, .Net stack APIs or microservices, Azure DW/Power Apps/BI, Azure DevOps, and/or Automation Testing, D365 a plus.

• Knowledgeable in Agile methods and ceremonies

• Demonstrated experience developing software test plans & test cases

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Automation Skills that would be a plus:

• SpecFlow with Selenium using BDD (Behavior Driven Development) is highly preferred; other commercial or open source automated test tools will be considered in lieu of

• Understanding Gherkin Language and Cucumber 

• Basics knowledge on Object-Oriented Programming 

• Coding skills in C# and/or Java Script 

• Knowledge on SQL and API testing 

Desired/"nice to have" Qualifications

• Industry testing certifications 

• D365 certifications, classes, or exams 

• Azure certifications, classes, or exams
