Automation Tester

SiloSmashers is seeking a highly experienced Solution Application (Automation) Tester to join its growing contract supporting a federal government agency. The government customer requires critical Solutions Delivery applications to be more stable and secure by developing, maintaining, and performing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) automated tests utilizing MS Power Platform tools, esp. Power Automate for Desktop. This candidate would assess existing application documentation, detailed functionality, systems architectures, backlog, and planned releases. The candidate shall also be willing to take on other tasks/functions to support overall team efforts, as needed. The candidate's work shall support the customer organization in complying with the applicable policies, procedures, rules of behavior, governance, and use of best practices.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Proven experience as an automation tester; develop automated test packages, with focus on Power Automate for Desktop.
• Develop, maintain, and perform RPA Automated test scripts to validate functional, performance, and security requirements of Custom applications based on the SharePoint 2013/2016 platform.
• Conduct end-to-end (manual and automated) functional testing, usability, integration testing, load and performance testing, regression testing, Section 508 compliance, security related testing, production readiness testing, disaster recovery testing, and other types of testing as required.
• Collaborate with project and cross-functional teams to ensure that test cases are comprehensive and accurate, and that they cover all functional and non-functional requirements.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies related to test automation and testing practices.
• Provide expertise to analyze output of automated test tools, scripts, applications, and processes to evaluate against established criteria and develop a recommendation to the government.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of applications and make recommendations for improvements.
• Provide pre-release and post-release quality assurance support for Production releases, as well as post-infrastructure, post-patching or any changes impacting application(s) functionality and/or performance.
• Document, edit, and review user training documentation and assist in training if needed.
• Assist with design/development of solutions (sites/apps) utilizing M365 and Power Platform toolset, as well as any other Solutions Delivery tasks, as needed.
• Support setup, configurations and troubleshooting of MS Power Platform projects/tools.
• Provide reasonable estimates on the hours it should take to perform a well defined task at hand as this shows proficiency in the skillset regarding the Power Platform.
• Develop test cases/plans and user case scenarios based on requirements.
• Develop and maintain test procedures to verify functional requirements.
• Develop and maintain traceability matrices showing tracings from functional requirements to test cases.
• Perform requirements analysis and execute and debug test cases.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Bachelor's Degree
• Must be able to attain a Public Trust clearance
• 5+ years of experience with SharePoint administration and development.
• 5+ years of experience with appropriate programming languages, operating systems, hardware and software.
• 5+ years of experience working with the interface of information technology and functional groups within an organization.
• 1+ year of experience providing help desk support for IT customer support issues including SharePoint.
