Automotive Machinist/Engine Builder

We are seeking an Automotive Machinist/Engine Builder. Long established shop in the San Fernando Valley with a great reputation of service excellence and customer care. We are a full-service machine shop that does valve jobs (mostly late model), machine packages and complete engines (mostly vintage), we work on foreign and domestic, 1950 to 2024 stock and some performance. Areas in the shop where we need help: valve jobs, change guides, change/install seats, cylinder head resurfacing, head assemble and valve adjustments, porting, engine balancing, flywheel grinding, engine disassembly and assembly. Job Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in an automotive machine shop or building engines full time. • Must be able to work on a variety of different vehicles with an attention to detail. • A high degree of ownership and accountability with the ability to prioritize effectively. • A high degree of integrity and professionalism with good communication skills. • Above average energy level with the ability to work in a competitive environment. • Agree to Pre-employment background check and drug-screen. • Maintain the company’s standards for ethical business practices, professional image, orderliness, customer service and good employee and community relations.
