Summary
About the position: This position will be assigned to the Eagle Creek Golf Course on Dover Air Force Base.
This position is considered Regular Part Time. You are guaranteed 20 hours, however you could work up to 40 hours per week. As a Regular employee, you are eligible to earn annual leave, sick leave and sign up for benefits to include Health/Dental and Life Insurance, 401(k) and NAF Retirement.

- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position has been identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to a pre-employment and random drug testing.
- Frequently lifts, handles, and carries parts and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Requires frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, crawling under vehicles, and working in tight spaces.
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Exposed to extreme heat; possibility of cuts and bruises.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Requires working knowledge of maintenance equipment and automotive mechanics, skill in the use of a wide variety of equipment repair tools, various types of mechanical repair; knowledge of the theory, care, and operation of internal combustion engines and mowing equipment; ability to diagnose mechanical troubles and determine appropriate maintenance work; ability to communicate effectively and keep business records. In addition, must be able to follow written and/or oral instructions, work orders and specifications related to maintenance of equipment and vehicles. Requires frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, crawling under vehicles, and working in tight spaces. Frequently lifts, handles, and carries parts and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. Experience which demonstrates the ability to manipulate tractor and equipment controls at the same time; knowledge of equipment to make connection on mechanical drive shafts and hydraulic lines; and skill to manipulate equipment over different terrain. One-year experience in irrigation installation and repair is desirable. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Requires a valid driver's license. Exposed to extreme heat; possibility of cuts and bruises. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). "This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use."
