Automotive welder/ mechanic

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in diagnosing and resolving various mechanical issues. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality service to our customers while ensuring that vehicles are safe and reliable. Responsibilities • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, and brake repairs. • Diagnose and repair automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment. • Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs. • Work on various systems including powertrain, alignment, suspension, and automotive electrical systems. • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs and maintenance tasks. • Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle. • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about their vehicle needs. • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop environment. • Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and diesel engine repair techniques. Qualifications • Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair processes. • Familiarity with dealership operations is preferred, along with experience working on GM vehicles. • Proficient in reading schematics and understanding complex mechanical systems. • Knowledge of welding techniques is a plus, as well as experience in auto body repair. • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using both hand tools and power tools. • Ability to perform maintenance tasks on various vehicle types, including transmissions, shocks & struts, and air brake systems. • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail in all aspects of work performed. • Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients regarding their vehicle’s needs.
