Role Overview:

Reporting to GBS Senior Manager level within Technical Service Delivery, this role will have the responsibility to design and engineer audio-visual solutions for the S+N enterprise.

Audio-Visual Solution Architect will work with customers to develop and implement A/V systems to meet their needs. In this role, the designer may work with marketing departments that produce ads, global teams that require video-conferencing, facilities teams planning n ew buildings or renovations, and other departments that utilize audio-visual systems. The responsibilities on any project will focus on design, which include laying out the entire A/V system to suit the size and acoustics of the venue.

At the start of the project, they establish the needs and expectations of the customer, create the technical drawings for the A/V systems, and coordinate proper documentation for their use. The Solution Architect will identify the best components to match a business need, oversee the installation of the system, oversee the programming and configuration of those systems, troubleshoot problems as they arise, and train employees on how to use the systems once the project is complete.

Thee Solution Architect will identify and promote global system standards, consult all vendors on solution design & implementation, system testing & maintenance, support team training & development of technical materials required for knowledge articles, support scripts & user documentation.

The Solution Architect will study, research and develop ideas for new technologies and the systems used to bring those ideas to reality. They also modify existing products or processes to increase efficiency or improve performance.

The AV Solution Architect will also require a clear understanding of Desktop Services and PC and/or application troubleshooting, as well as Office 365 functionality and Microsoft application roadmaps and strategy.

Vendor management, vendor coordination and third-party system maintenance oversight will also be in scope of this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Video Production (10%)

Capture business requirements for video content creation and video production responsibilities. Identify & recommend additional hardware needed to deliver business content requirements. Coordinate with IT Service partners to overcome technical challenges when presented.

2. AV Infrastructure Planning & Design (60%)

Setting up, configuring, and maintaining systems such as cameras, lighting, microphones, and control systems for broadcasts and communications.

3. Operational Support (10%)

AV system management & live event support. Preventative maintenance checks on all systems on all AV systems in Singapore. Recommend hardware refresh/repair/replacement needs for the site. Coordinate IT infrastructure support when/where required to resolve AV system challenges. Manage AV system inventory and rental equipment. Manage local AV system installations, relocations, decommissioning and/or disposal.

4. Project Management (20%)

Consult, design, support and deliver the AV systems for the Singapore ECC, as well as assist with the design and implementation plans for global AV projects.

Location: Memphis

Education: Bachelor's degree in AV Systems Engineering or equivalent work experience in a relevant technical area is preferred.

Experience:

5 years + experience of managing and supporting complex and global audio-visual services

3 years + experience of working in an IT support environment requiring experience leading AV project implementations.

3 years + experience in development and delivery of video production

Competences:

Strong customer services skills including the ability to work continuously with operational departments to understand business requirements

Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision

Ability to identify opportunities to improve operational and technical processes

Excellent time management and planning skills

Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to stand, use hands, handle or feel objects, tools and controls.

Travel Requirements: 25%
