Job Summary: The A/V Systems Drafter is an invaluable team member who provides assistance and CAD support to the Design Engineering team and works with other A/V System Drafters in implementing red lines, providing architectural backgrounds, floorplans, elevation views, and any other CAD-relevant tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with CAD related tasks, as required by the engineering team, for the purpose of creating project drawing packages, documents, following company CAD standards.
  • Incorporate red lines provided by the A/V Design Engineers and Project Managers.
  • Initial Sheet Set Manager setup, project viewport and scaling layout.
  • Create A/V floor plans, RCP's, enlarged plan views, section views, elevations, mounting details, riser diagrams, functional diagrams, tables, sheet indexes, etc.
  • Creating data links and Data extractions.
  • Perform other CAD related tasks.

Requirements:

  • BS in audiovisual, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or another related field - preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Construction Drafting or A/V Engineering.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD required.
  • Revit and/or extracting Revit backgrounds and/or other 3d applications (e.g. Sketch Up, Revizto) not required but preferred.
  • Understanding of Architectural Drawing packages and AV industry drafting standards a plus.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills internally & with client.
  • Punctual, must be able to meet deadlines, while maintaining highest quality standards.
  • Accurate and detail oriented.
  • Strong team player and collaboration skills.
  • May require 5-10% travel.

Salary will depend on experience.
