Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the FG/GS-6 level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FG/GS-5 level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experience is defined as:experience performing a variety of administrative and clerical duties such as assisting in researching, writing and typing non-technical and routine correspondence; reviewing and distributing incoming correspondence; maintaining files; general office support; preparing reports; examining documents for accuracy and completeness; entering and retrieving information from a variety of automated systems.

To qualify for this position at the FG/GS-7 Level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FG/GS-6 level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized Experience is defined as:experience performing a variety of technical administrative duties such as preparing complex reports; assisting in interpreting and implementing newly modified directives and determining action needed; managing records; providing tracking and validation support of funds for employee travel; assisting in writing complex technical and non-technical correspondence and reports; researching technical data; reviewing and analyzing complex information and interpreting directives.

Education cannot be substituted for experience at the FG-6/7 level.
