Job Description:

IERUS Technologies is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (7-15 years) to design embedded systems software (C/C++) within an RTOS environment; interfacing to FPGA IP cores and designing/integrating custom and commercial IP cores on SoC based systems.

The electrical engineer is responsible for:

• Software design/code (C/C++/Assembly)/debug and integration of real-time, embedded applications and RTOS/BSP drivers in a multi-threaded software architecture (e.g. RTLinux, VxWorks, FreeRTOS);
• Reading/understanding schematics to write low-level hardware interfacing software for real-time applications to meet functional, environmental and system requirements;
• System level analysis, modeling and simulation analysis/development and software development for testing and analysis of various electrical systems. (C/C++/Python).

Required Qualifications:

• B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field, or equivalent experience;
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance, therefore, U. S. Citizenship is required;
• RTOS experience (such as VxWorks, or real-time Linux);
• Embedded software experience in C/C++.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Secret clearance;
• FPGA VHDL design, debug, integration, and commercial IP Core integration experience for SoC;
• SoC software experience (bootloader, multi-threaded applications);
• Experience with video formats and compression;
• Experience with telemetry frame design and telemetry systems;
• Experience writing kernel drivers;
• Python scripting experience.
