Avionics Technician

A&P MECHANIC - CAMARILLO, CA 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install and test avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft
• Verify and ensure proper safety conditions of avionics systems prior to flight
• Maintain documentation and proper record keeping of repairs, maintenance, inspections, reports, and other items related to aircraft maintenance
• Reference maintenance manuals and specifications to identify correct operations and specifications for replacements or repairs
• Collaborate with technicians, pilots, engineers, and other team members to service our fleet of aircraft
• Troubleshoot issues with flight and testing equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience supporting aircraft electrical repair
• Strong working knowledge of aviation safety practices and technology
• An understanding of other aircraft systems such as hydraulics, flight controls, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Trade school or military training in aircraft maintenance
• FAA inspection authorization certification
• 5+ years of experience supporting the maintenance of aircraft
