Role Summary/Purpose:
Synchrony is continuing to build a world class Performance Media and Creative Organization committed to driving results with our retail and payments partners while also delivering leading customer experiences. Within this organization, our Paid Media Team is focused on achieving growth by making data-driven decisions to create meaningful interactions with existing and potential customers by focusing on capturing business requirements and ensuring flawless execution of campaigns. We are seeking an AVP, Affiliate Marketplace, Ad Operations to lead efforts in ensuring delivery of marketing operational excellence, supporting business partners across the Synchrony enterprise. This role is responsible for managing and maintaining our Synchrony Marketplace inventory operations, with a focus on, trafficking and operations management that supports our business partners.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Execute trafficking work within an Ad Server environment managing multiple accounts, maintaining best practice implementation for optimization and campaign set up.
- Check digital creative assets to make sure they follow the specification needed to run in Ad Server
- Understand and enforce internal naming conventions for digital campaigns
- Oversee campaign optimizations, brand safety and budget management for campaign success
- Assess digital ad opportunities, avails, pricing and permitted targeting options and manage for optimal impression frequency across Marketplace
- Execute quality assurance (QA) across campaigns pre and post launch to ensure flawless digital execution and to confirm compliance with regulatory needs
- Proactively monitor campaign pacing and performance, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
- Work with teams to troubleshoot tracking, when necessary
- Work with internal teams to ensure sites, apps, and landing pages have correct tagging deployed and that tracking architecture will result in the correct level of detail for post campaign analysis
- Collaborate with teams on measurement, tagging, reporting, etc. (I.e. Affiliates & Data Scientist)
- Effectively communicate status of campaigns, technical issues, launch delays, delivery issues, etc. to internal stakeholders
- Detail oriented in order to properly update and maintain internal technical documents
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or in lieu of degree, high school diploma/GED and 3+ years marketing experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in ad operations/programmatic - including executing campaigns in a fast-paced environment and consistently meeting deadlines at an agency or brand
- Experience trafficking multi-channel digital campaigns within the Google Marketing Platform (CM, DV360, GA360, Google Ads, YouTube).
- Experience with 2 or more DSPs, including TheTradeDesk, Verizon, or Amazon.
- Well-versed in affiliate marketing execution in terms of placement launch, product update, tagging, link creation and placement trafficking
- Hands-on experience in affiliate network tool such as Commission Junction and Rakuten or SaaS platform such as Impact and Tune, is a plus
- Hands-on experience working with Ad Serving platforms, e.g. CitrusAds, Criteo, Kevel, etc, is a plus
Desired Characteristics:
- Solid knowledge in ad operations media landscape, specifically around site tagging framework, trafficking, creative ad formats, brand safety and associated technologies
- Understanding of the technical build of a digital campaign within a DSP (programmatic bidding structure, tagging, trafficking, deal creation, audience management etc.)
- Experience working in financial category and within a Retail Media Network is a plus
- Creative and resourceful; proven ability to problem solve and look for new ideas
- Detail oriented and organized with the ability to juggle competing demands and effectively prioritize tasks
- Demonstrated success in measuring and delivering campaign results. Proven to be data and performance driven
Grade/Level: 11
The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 - 150,000.00 USD Annual
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
