AVP – Agency Relationship Manager
Job Description
Position Summary
The AVP - Agency Relationship Manager is a client-facing role requiring a candidate with a high level of communication, presentation and organizational skills. The role requires engagement and collaboration with internal departments (interacting with both leaders and team members) to evaluate and address the needs of external parties and partners. As the main point of contact to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac for the organization, strong candidates possess the a working knowledge base across the mortgage servicing landscape. The position involves researching complex questions and portfolio performance feedback on an ongoing basis from the Agencies, and working with the business to develop action plans in response to cited issues. Responsibilities of the role include oversight of all interactions between the Agencies and RoundPoint lines of business, including internal dissemination of Agency performance measurements, tracking and mnagement of Agency loan level requests, and loan level review based on internal and Agency performance data. The role reports to the VP of Client & Agency Management.
Additionally, the role will be responsible for managing legacy servicing oversight of the company’s private investor portfolio, including but not limited to: regulatory exam management, invoice and remittance management, portfolio monitoring and SDW management, and loss analysis.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare and present monthly portfolio and servicing KPI performance reporting to Agencies
- In-depth analysis of Agency servicing scorecard KPI performance and underlying data drivers
- Subject matter expert in Agency scorecard metric composition and drivers to support reporting development and backtesting
- Develop, maintain and expand working relationships with counterparts at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
- Act as a point of escalation for loan-level issues and process improvements
- Balance and manage expectations of internal and external parties
- Own, maintain and update existing procedures
- Scope requirements for new procedures, develop and maintain critical processes to support procedures
- Portfolio management of private investor servicing portfolio and subservicing relationships
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of mortgage servicing oversight, agency or client relationship management experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent mortgage industry experience
- Significant experience with, exposure to and understanding of FNMA and FHLMC servicing guidelines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects and professional communication on results
- Skilled in communications via Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

- Significant experience with, exposure to and understanding of FNMA and FHLMC origination guidelines
- Strong “big picture” understanding of servicing operations, internal controls and accounting
- Customer service, team and goal oriented with a positive attitude toward work and others
- Ability to adapt to changes in priorities and responsibilities with a positive outlook
